Young Racers Test Skills at Snowplanet

Pre-season racing got underway at Auckland’s Snowplanet last weekend with 77 skiers and snowboarders aged 8 to 18 years eager to test their slalom skills.

The 365 (Snowplanet and the Northern Snow Circus) programmes have been running since February, under the guidance of Head Coach Brad Alwyin, and have attracted growing numbers.

“The improvement in skill level from this year to last, is huge and it is a credit to the effort many have made over the summer months, whether they trained overseas or here,” commented Snow Sports NZ Alpine Committee member Adrian Farnsworth who was on hand to watch the racing.”
