Vail, Colorado (5 January 2014) - New Zealand’s up and coming young freeskiers have had a strong showing at the Rocky Mountain Freeski Series in Vail, Colorado.
Saturday’s freeski slopestyle competition was the first of four events which make up the Rocky Mountain Series. The competition is sanctioned as an Association of Freeskiing Professionals (AFP) bronze level event.
Nico Porteous won the 10-12 age group by a huge margin, scoring 95 points in his winning run. Finn Bilous won the hotly contested 13-15 age group with Miguel Porteous taking the third place spot in that category.
