New Zealand’s junior park and pipe athletes are storming through their northern hemisphere season claiming podium spots along the way.
At the USASA Rocky Mountain Series held in Breckenridge on 2 March Finn Bilous topped the Freeski Halfpipe 13-15 years age division with Miguel Porteous joining him on the podium in second place.
Finn scored 85.67 with his run which included a large mute, cork 900, alley-opp flat 540, flair, left 540, right 720, switch alley-opp cork 540. Miguel’s second place score of 76.67 put him ahead of USA skier Payton McElhiney with 72.33.
Nico Porteous won the 10-12 years age division scoring an impressive 92.33 ahead of Dylan Ladd (USA) in second with 83.67 and Liam Bruno (USA) with 80.33.
