The Buffalo Club to Sponsor The Remarkables Adaptive Programme

The Snow Sports NZ Adaptive Programme has received a welcomed boost thanks to a recently signed sponsorship agreement with Queenstown business, The Buffalo Club. The Buffalo Club will sponsor the adaptive snow sports programme at The Remarkables Ski Area.

Adaptive Snow Sports is about adapting equipment and lessons and providing accessible support systems to allow people with a wide range of disabilities to take to the snow and experience the freedom of snow sports.

“We’re extremely grateful to The Buffalo Club for their support,” says Snow Sports NZ Adaptive Manager Jane Stevens. “It’s fantastic to see more and more people with disabilities having the opportunity to try out snow sports for the first time and enjoy learning new skills. We hope to encourage more people to give it a go this season.”

The Remarkables Adaptive Snow Sports Programme is headed by Ross James, an adaptive trainer with over 25 years’ experience in adaptive snow sports.

“It’s great to have the ongoing support this sponsorship provides as it allows us to focus on supporting more people to get out there and enjoy the freedom of snow sports,” says Ross.
