The Skimasters NZ series of races had its on mountain start to competition last week with the Coronet Peak NZ Skiing Masters Events.
Originally scheduled to be an International Masters event, lack of snow forced a change two weeks prior to the event plus the postponement of the Mt Hutt Masters event the week before.
However, the snow delivered to Queenstown to welcome the 48 competitors who made the trip south with superb snow conditions to enjoy.
Bad visibility cancelled the two Super G races but the Slalom and Giant Slalom went off wonderfully.
Competitors' ages ranged from 18-87. Overall results are obtained by a handicap system which adds time by age increments.
