CHILL Big Mountain Series 2013 – Introduction and Registration

The renowned CHILL Series 2013 is held in New Zealand Central Southern Alps in the Canterbury Region and offers spectacular skiing, snowboarding and competitions. For the 15th edition of the CHILL Series an exciting programme of events has been lined up. Two events are scheduled for late August, early September. The K2 Big Mountain on the 23rd and 24th and the Black Diamond Big Mountain on the 30st August and 1st September. Entries are now open.

K2 Big Mountain

The K2 Big Mountain is the first event in the CHILL Series Calendar. Comprised of two days of competition at Craigieburn Valley on the 23rd and 24th of August. The event is part of the Freeride World Qualifying series.

Black Diamond Big Mountain

The second event in the CHILL Series is the Black Diamond Big Mountain. Held at Temple Basin from the 30th August to the 1st of September, the event is comprised of two days of competition with one weather day at the formidable Temple Basin Ski Area, a freeride paradise. There is a $5000 prize pool and FWQ two star points.

Each competition in the CHILL Series is limited to 55 Athletes and you must be 18 years of age or older to enter. In the interest of fostering the sport in New Zealand CHILL will invite 5 juniors to compete but they are not eligible for FWQ points.
