Snow Sports NZ is pleased to name eight more athletes to the Alpine FIS Youth Squad.
As part of the SSNZ Alpine programme review being undertaken by SSNZ and the ASC, the principles behind each stage of the athlete pathway are being reassessed. As a result SSNZ and the ASC have decided to provide the opportunity for all NZ youth athletes who meet criteria to enter and compete at FIS Youth races overseas. The NZ FIS Youth Squad numbers had been set in line with the individual FIS Youth event quota, this artificial cap on numbers is now removed.
The NZ FIS Youth Squads are chosen and ranked by the Alpine selectors; all entries to FIS Youth events are managed by SSNZ Alpine Manager.
The athletes added to the 2019 FIS Youth Squad are:
U14 Girls
4. Ruby Fullerton, St Arnaud’s Ski Racing Foundation, Elite Sport
