The 2025 Snow Sports NZ Para Alpine Team has been named! The team of four is made up of elite athletes at the top of their sport, combined with talented up-and-coming athletes.
Multiple Paralympic medallists Adam Hall and Corey Peters will lead the team, and with some excellent results already achieved in their first two races of the season we are looking forward to following their 2025 World Cup campaigns.
On the 11th and 13th of December Corey competed in his first World Cup races since the Beijing 2022 Paralympics, finishing in 5th and 6th place at the Super G double-header in Austria.
Adam started his World Cup campaign on the 16th of December, finishing in third place at the Para Alpine Slalom World Cup. This incredibly marked the 30th World Cup Podium and 100th World Cup start of Adam's decorated career. He followed up this result with a 5th place finish on the 17th of December at the second Slalom World Cup race.
Bailley Unahi will be joined by James Thurston in the development team, racing across North America and Europe at FIS and Continental Cup events, with the possibility to start in World Cup events towards the latter part of the season.
Another athlete to keep your eyes on this coming season is Ben Johnston who is competing at Continental Cup SBX (boarder-cross) and BSL (banked slalom) events. Congratulations Ben on your two top ten finishes from the Landgraaf BSL European Cup races in November 2024.
