A former competitive snowboard slopestyle athlete, Stef started snowboarding in 2001 at the Canterbury Club Fields. He worked as a snowboard instructor for several years and spent 26 winters back to back without a summer, following his passion.
Stef is still an avid snowboarder and enjoys watching the next generation of New Zealand ski and snowboarders coming up the ranks and working hard to achieve their snow sports goals and dreams.
Stef sits on the Senior Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) Board so he can contribute positively to an industry that has given him so much and pass on his knowledge to the next generation.
When Stef isn't snowboarding or surfing he runs his family lavender farm in Wanaka.
