Ruby has been on the ski field since she was 6 weeks old, putting her first pair of skis on when she was two. She learnt to ski on the magic carpet at Ohau and the rope tow at Mt Dobson. Her first intro to ski racing was at Rainbow ski field, when she was five and from then on she was hooked. Despite being focused on ski racing her favourite field is Craigieburn Valley.
Ruby is focusing on putting in the hard work now and hoping it will see her reach the World Cup and represent NZ at the Winter Olympics.
When she isn’t skiing or in the gym, Ruby likes to head into the great outdoors on tramping trips with friends and family.
