Alec Jackson has been selected to the 2024/25 NZ Alpine Team.
Alec's mum first taught him to ski at Turoa when he was two years old and when he got a little older he joined the ski school lessons at Treble Cone. Alec's first time skiing overseas was when he was almost five years old in Telluride, Colorado. Alec continued spending summer months skiing in Telluride until he was 11.
Alec's first competition were the Junior Interfield races which he competed in from eight years old. His most memorable moment from his skiing career is his first time hiking to the summit of Treble Cone on a Powder day.
Alec dreams of one day representing New Zealand at the 2023 Junior World Championships and at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games.
When Alec isn't skiing you will most likely to find him on the coast, spend his time surfing and fishing in Tutukaka.
