Snow Sports NZ is committed to supporting the snow sports we love by helping our athletes along the way. The best way to get started is by finding your local training programmes, but as you begin to distinguish yourself through competition, we want to recognise it!
At 14 years and above, Snow Sports NZ is looking for athletes who are competing in FIS Level events, and are beginning to distinguish themselves. These events are very competitive! It may take a few seasons to start to get results, as you will find yourself competing against the best in the world.
Successful athletes will be considered for progression camps throughout the season, as well as Northern Hemisphere camps.
Competitions, points lists, training ethic, and participation in progression camps make up the pathway for selection to Pathway to Podium. Get out there and earn it!
At this age, some athletes will have already participated in Pathway to Podium, or be excelling on their own, and we will begin to look at carding standout athletes from this pool, or offering support to athletes on track for World Cup and Olympic results.
