NZ Para Alpine Skier Corey Peters finished third in the Giant Slalom on 22 December 2019, rounding out a successful week of racing at the World Para Alpine North America Cups at California's Mammoth Mountain.
Over a second behind leader Kurt Oatway (CAN) after run one, Corey skied the fastest second run to close the gap to just 0.57s but it wasn't enough to knock the Canadian out of the top spot. Japan's Taiki Morii finished in second place just 0.03s off the lead.
