Corey Peters Wins Downhill at Canadian National Champs

New Zealand's Para Alpine skiers are back in the start gates this week with sit skier Corey Peters taking the win in Downhill at the Canadian National Championships in Kimberley, British Columbia today. The National Championship race was followed by a World Para Alpine Skiing (WPAS) Downhill in which Corey finished second.

"I've been really happy with my skiing and consistency this season," said Corey. "This week has been a lot of fun. Downhill is certainly my happy place and I'm stoked to finally get to race it. It's been 12 months since my last Downhill.

"It's a good benchmark of where I'm at at the moment, especially coming up against PyeongChang gold medalist Kurt Oatway from Canada."
