Mt Hotham, Australia ( 22 August 2019) - NZ Alpine ski racer Piera Hudson has notched up a win at the ANC Slalom in Australia, finishing 0.24s ahead of World Cup skier Josephine Forni (FRA). In a second Slalom later in the day she had a blistering winning second run and placed second behind Forni.
"It was a long wait after three cancelled race days in Hotham due to weather but I’m really glad we could get two slaloms off today and I could nail it in tricky conditions when it counted," said Piera.
Piera will race in GS at Mt Hotham today (Friday) before making her way back to NZ for the ANCs being held as part of the QRC Winter Games NZ fuelled by Forsyth Barr.
