James is passionate about increasing recreational activity for disabled people through adaptive sports. Following an accident in 1999, he has enjoyed a range of recreational and competitive sports including snow sports, rowing, mountain biking, water skiing and power sports.
Although he has some experience of competitive snow sports in NZ and Canada, he enjoys recreational snow sports as it allows him to enjoy the outdoors with his wife Kim, their son Max and their friends.
