Amy joins the Snow Sports NZ team from her current role as Basketball New Zealand People Development Lead. Amy recently relocated to Wānaka from Christchurch with her husband and two children. She has previously worked as Coach and Officials Manager at Athletics New Zealand and Community Netball and High-Performance Manager at Canterbury Netball. Amy is a qualified Sport NZ Coach Developer, Trainer, and Mentor. Amy has a strong passion for providing quality and inspiring experiences that develop physical literacy, wellbeing and seed a love of being active for life.
Amy has an extensive background in establishing proactive strategies to enhance wellbeing in a sporting context. She brings experience in people development and capability building. Amy comes to Snow Sports NZ from the role of development lead at Basketball NZ. Part of her role there involved establishing future focussed systems, and programmes that develop and connect people as leaders in sport, whilst also recognising that people are at the centre of our sport.
Amy loves the intrinsic joy that sports brings people’s lives and their mental health/wellbeing. Amy said "I am really excited about joining the Snow Sports NZ community and developing a culture of wellbeing which is engrained into the SSNZ system."
