Call for nominations – Adaptive Sports Committee

The Adaptive Sports Committee is made up of a maximum of seven members, one of whom is a Snow Sports NZ employee (Snow Sports NZ Constitution[1] Part IV pp 29-33). Two positions on the committee are available and these two positions to be filled via election.

The Adaptive Sports Committee is not a representative body (i.e. covers the length and breadth of the country) however it is critical that it is not biased toward, or against, any region and that it operates for the good of the sport across the whole of New Zealand.

Snow Sports NZ seeks nominations from financial members:

  1. with a passion for Adaptive Snow Sports;
  2. with sufficient knowledge, time and energy to drive the sport forward;
  3. who will put the sport ahead of personal interests (family, club, region or business); and
  4. who have a vision of what needs to happen to increase the number of competitors and the success of New Zealand athletes on the world stage.

If you are interested in being elected onto the Adaptive Sports Committee you will need to complete the attached nomination form and return it to Uli Schmidt [email protected] by 5:00pm on Wednesday 20th September 2017. Current Snow Sports NZ Adaptive members can vote online on the Snow Sports NZ website from 10 am Thursday 21st September. Voting closes 5.00pm on Tuesday 26th September 2017. Voting in person can be done at the Forum which will be held at Snow Sports NZ on Wednesday 27th September 2017 at 6pm. There is the option to link into the forum via skype. If you wish to do so please send your skype details to [email protected] by 5pm Tuesday 26th September 2017. The successful candidates will be announced at the forum and also be put on the Snow Sports New Zealand website.
